Stationery with your company's own identity: the brand on paper too

Cards, envelopes, letterheads and document templates that speak your brand's own language.

Who stationery design is for

Stationery is the set of pieces your company uses to introduce itself and to handle day-to-day business: business card, letterhead, envelope, folder, notepad, quote and invoice templates, email signature. They're small things, but they're the ones that most often end up in a customer's hands.

It's a service for anyone who has just defined their identity and needs to put it into circulation, for anyone who has changed address, name or contact details, and for anyone with material made at different times by different suppliers who can no longer be sure it all matches.

If the brand isn't defined yet, the starting point is branding. For communication and campaign pieces, see graphic design.

Problems this service solves

Why these apparently simple pieces cause so much trouble.

Material that doesn't match

The card has one logo, the letterhead has another, and the email signature has none at all.

Files the printer won't accept

Missing resolution, missing bleed, or the colours are in the wrong mode, and the print job gets held up.

Documents built from scratch every time

Every quote gets thrown together in a hurry by whoever's free, with different results each time.

Out-of-date information

Cards are still doing the rounds with the old address, or with the contact details of someone who no longer works there.

Nothing to hand over

A trade fair or a visit is coming up, and there's nothing decent to leave with a customer.

The paper your company hands over speaks before you do.

How we work

The work is quick when the identity is already defined and the production decisions are made at the start.

An inventory of the pieces

We list what the company actually uses, what gets printed and what only circulates digitally. It's common to find pieces nobody uses, and others, missing ones, that would make a difference.

Production decisions

Format, paper, finishes, number of colours and quantities are decided before any design work, because they shape what can be designed and what the print run costs.

Designing the set

The pieces are designed together, not one at a time, from the brand's own rules, so they read as a family when they're placed side by side.

Proofs and preparation for print

We present proofs for approval and prepare the files with bleed, colour profiles and typefaces properly handled, ready to go into production without being sent back.

Support during printing

We talk to the printer, check the colour proof where there is one, and follow the print run, so the finished result matches what was approved.

Common questions about stationery

The most common questions before sending anything to print.

Is printing included?

The service covers design and file preparation. Printing can be commissioned by you directly, or handled by us through the printers we work with, in which case the production cost is identified separately and never mixed in with the creative work.

Do I need my brand defined first?

It's a lot better if you do. Without brand rules, every piece is a decision made in isolation, and the set ends up not reading as one. If there are none, we start with a short piece of work to define them before designing the stationery.

Can I edit the templates later?

Yes. The document templates are delivered in formats you can edit with standard office software, and the original files for the graphic pieces stay with you for future changes.

Do you also do pieces for events and trade fairs?

That falls under the graphic design service: display stands, posters, space decoration and material to hand out. It usually pays off to handle that alongside the stationery, so everything comes out of the same visual family.

What quantities should I print?

It depends on actual use and the likelihood of changes in the short term. It's worth avoiding large print runs when a change of address, contact details or staff is on the horizon, even if the cost per unit is lower.

Tell us what pieces you need

Tell us what you use today, what you'd like to have instead, and whether your brand is already defined. We'll put together a quote with pieces and price.
