Visual identity for the restaurant.
Brand, menus, website and vinyl graphics for a neighbourhood vegetarian restaurant.
Raiz presents itself through its name: it's the neighbourhood's vegetarian spot. That promise, stated so plainly, solves half of the communication work and complicates the other half — a neighbourhood restaurant lives on people who walk past the door and come back, not on those who discover it once.
The project brought together the brand, the printed materials, the website and the vinyl graphics applied in the space. In a restaurant, these pieces aren't independent: the menu is where the customer spends the most time with the brand in front of them, the shop window is what decides whether they come in, and the website is what answers the questions before they make the trip.
We started with the brand and kept it constant across every piece. The menu was designed in more than one version, because a restaurant changes what it offers and can't be held hostage by a print run.
The graphic work extended into the space, with the vinyl graphics applied on site, and the brand also reached the pieces that pass from hand to hand. The website was kept deliberately short: anyone looking for a restaurant wants to know where it is, what time it opens and what's on the menu — and wants to know it on their phone, in a few seconds.
Brand, dining room and digital presence, handled together so that whoever walks past the door and whoever searches on their phone finds the same restaurant.
