Booking is hard work
The phone line is busy, the form does not work on a phone, and there is no way to request a booking outside opening hours, which is when most people decide.
In this sector, people deciding are almost always choosing on trust, not on price. A clinic, a practice or a sole practitioner gets chosen for how clearly they explain what they do, the ease they put people at, and how simple it is to book. All of that gets built before the first appointment.
It is also a sector with clear limits on what can be said. Health communication has rules of its own and allows no promises of results or comparisons of effectiveness. That is not a constraint: it simply means communicating on what you do control, which is competence, process, care for the patient or client, and clear information.
The problems we come across most often.

A list of specialities in technical language does not help someone with a complaint who does not know which speciality it falls under.
Without names, backgrounds and photographs of the team, the main thing is missing: the person you are about to trust with something sensitive.
Before-and-after photographs, promises of results and testimonials used carelessly are a risk for whoever publishes them.
A refurbished space, new equipment, and an identity stuck ten years in the past, applied differently on the shopfront, the prescription pad and the appointment card.
From a sole practice to a network with several units.
Name, logo and visual system applied to the shopfront, reception, booking documents and clinical material. That was the case with Sorriso de Alecrim.
One page per service or speciality, written for someone with a complaint who does not know the technical names, with how to prepare for the appointment and answers to common questions.
A simple form that works on a phone at any hour, with exactly the fields reception needs before calling back.
Photographs and backgrounds of the people who see patients. It is the most visited section on health websites, and the one that weighs most in the choice.
Signage, appointment cards, preparation leaflets and post-appointment instructions, all in the same visual language.
Informative content and campaigns written without promises of results, with clinical sign-off on what gets published.
Each page explains the process, the deliverables and the most common questions.
Sorriso de Alecrim is a dental clinic for which we created the brand, the visual identity, the window display and the website. Cláudia Salgado – Nutricionista, Andressa Cabeleireiros and Pharmarede complete the group of projects in this field. See the portfolio.
The most common questions before getting started.
Tell us what services you offer, who sees patients, and how you take bookings today. You will get a proposal with scope, phases and price.
Tell us when suits you and we will come back with a confirmation. It is not an automatic booking: a person always confirms the meeting.
